12th annual Night of Artists

Featuring 65 of the country's top Western artists showcasing over 200 works of art on the picturesque San Antonio River Walk, the 12th annual Night of Artists Art Sale and Exhibition gives patrons the chance to meet some of the artists in the show and purchase the art via a random draw.

Night of Artists Art Sale & Reception will take place in the Briscoe Western Art Museum's Jack Guenther Pavilion located along the picturesque San Antonio River Walk. The event includes the presentation of the Briscoe Legacy Award presented to an artist whose body of work has left a lasting impact upon the Western art world. This year's recipient is noted Cowboy Artists of America member, Bill Owen. Previous winners include Martin Grelle, Howard Terpning, Clark Hulings, G. Harvey, Kent Ullberg and Ken Carlson. Awards also include Artist's Choice, Committee's Choice and Patron's Choice.

Night of Artists marks the largest fundraiser for the Museum with proceeds going to support the institution. The exhibition coincides with San Antonio's largest annual cultural event, Fiesta, bringing over 250,000 visitors to the Alamo City each year.

The Briscoe Western Art Museum is proud to present the 12th annual Night of Artists. This will be the 2nd year the Night of Artists Art Sale and Exhibition will be hosted in the beautiful Jack Guenther Pavilion at the Briscoe Museum. The Night of Artists Art Sale will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 starting at 5:30PM. In addition to the Art Sale, the evening will include a cocktail reception, dinner and live entertainment by House of Wills in the McNutt Sculpture Garden. The Art Sale will be followed by a month-long Exhibition that is free to the public opening at 12:00pm, noon, Sunday, March 24th continuing through April 28th.
