2013 Capital City Challenge
A flat, fast triathlon through scenic downtown Charleston, WV.
The race consists of a 4.2 mile run, a 4.2 mile row, and a 16.8 mile bike ride all along the banks of the Kanawha River. 2013 will be the fourth year for this race. Individuals and groups of two or three are all encouraged to participate.

The Capital City Challenge begins with a run on Kanawha Boulevard. The start line is adjacent to Magic Island, and participants run straight along the river from there until they reach Daniel Boone Park.
The course is flat and fast. The run and ride are on Kanawha Boulevard which runs parallel to the Kanawha River. The paddle, the run and the ride are not technical. This race features a scenic course without major climbs or turns.
The race begins and ends at Magic Island on Kanawha Boulevard in Downtown Charleston, WV. The start and finish are beside the Kanawha River Bridge on Interstate 64. Take the Lee Street or Virginia Street Exits off of I-64 for easy access to the start area.
