The goal of this year's conference is to gain fresh insights on the various factors contributing to childhood obesity, and to learn about the many exciting solutions already underway to address it. The place-based approach of this conference will allow for meaningful and effective networking and future collaboration. Attendees will gain new and diverse perspectives on the issue, which we hope will help to create successful models for change in their communities and professions.

All individuals with an interest in childhood obesity are invited to attend. Our speakers and attendees represent the fields of medicine, education, policy, research, parent activism, technology, non-profits, and business. Participants will walk away with a more comprehensive understanding of childhood obesity, as well as food for thought on the challenges impacting different fields and individuals working to address the issue.

The day's schedule includes six speakers; two breakout sessions; a light breakfast; a locally catered lunch; networking reception; and multiple tabling organizations. Funds raised will go towards covering the costs of the conference as well as Slow Food San Francisco's School Garden program.
