39th Annual Rose Show
On Saturday, April 27, 2013, the gainesville Rose Society will present its 39th Annual Rose Show to celebrate our National Flower. We expect several hundred horticultural and arrangement exhibits to be entered into the competition. Judged exhibits will be open to the public from 1-5 pm. In addition to the judged exhibits, the Show features hourly door prize drawings, free information and literature on rose culture, and the sale of cut flowers and potted roses. We hope you will join in the celebration with us. Regular admission price for non-members and members are admitted free of charge.
About The Gainesville Rose Society
The Gainesville Rose Society, founded in September 1964, serves Gainesville, Alachua County, and surrounding counties for information, education, and promotion of our National Flower, The Rose. We exist to encourage and assist all persons interested in rose growing as a hobby. Anyone interested in growing or exhibiting roses is invited to become a member. We are one of nearly 400 societies nationwide, and our society affiliated with the American Rose Society in 1965. Our annual membership dues are $15. Individual or $20. Family.
