40th annual Dayton International Festival, A World A’Fair
Global Pastimes will be this year's cultural theme. All of the participating countries will show some of the favorite pastimes of their region at their cultural booth.
We have a LOT of Featured Entertainment this year, including Jorge Wojtas, a Flamenco Guitarist; a Flamenco dancing group from Columbus; Kabluchko, a Russian performing group from Cincinnati; Verea, a Bulgarian group from Chicago; and Burundian drummers and dancers. The very popular Kenya Safari Acrobats; and Steve Free, Native American storyteller and musician will return this year.
The DIFI Festival Singers will perform on the Informal stage all three days. Stories and activities for kids will be offered in the expanded children's area sponsored by Children's Medical Center of Dayton.
The Asian American Council of Dayton will again be presenting a Health Fair at A World A'Fair. Visitors will be offered screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, ADHD, HIV, depression, anxiety; and educational information and workshops on dental care, communicative diseases, hand washing demo for children and more.
- Clark State will be the Military Ticket sponsor, providing free admission for active members of the military.
- Junior Ambassadors of A World A'Fair, a boy and a girl, will be chosen on the Informal stage Friday at 7:00.
- This year we will again have a Photo Booth with international costumes to choose from for your photo
This is the third year for the AMBASSADORS COMPETITION / BALL, which replaces the Miss World A'Fair Pageant. This is open to all youth (male and female) ages 15-21 who are members of the DIFI Youth organization. There will be two main winners. One male and one female. They will be known as Ambassadors of Goodwill.
There will be additional winners.

A World A'Fair Passports
The ever popular Passport program will again be available. Each child visiting the Festival will receive a passport that will be stamped at each booth as he travels the world at this festival. It is great fun and a great learning experience for children of all ages! A drawing will be held for prizes for children collecting Passport stamps.
