50th Anniversary Trail of the Lonesome Pine State Outdoor Drama

Welcome ... it's our 50th Anniversary Season!

THE TRAIL OF THE LONESOME PINE is the longest continually running outdoor drama in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and is now the official Outdoor Drama of Virginia. It is the objective of the Lonesome Pine Arts & Crafts, Inc. to provide an exciting entertaining and accurate accounting of the story made famous in the early 1900's by the noted author John Fox, Jr. It depicts the effect that the discovery of coal in the Appalachian Mountains had on the people of this beautiful mountain region.

50th Anniversary Season: June 21st through August 24th, 2013 with performances each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Box Office will open at 7:00 PM. Pre-Show entertainment at 7:15 to 7:45 PM and production begins at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $15.00 for Adults, $12.00 for Seniors and Military, and $8.00 for children ages 6 through 12. Pre-school children are free.
