Three exhibitions: Layered collage paintings by Joyce McAdams; abstract mixed-media paintings by Kate Merritt Davis; and digital photographs by Chris Hartsfield. Eastern Shore Art Center (401 Oak St, Fairhope) Through Sat, Feb 23 . Tue - Fri, 10 AM - 4 PM; Sat, 10 AM - 2 PM. The Eastern Shore Art Association (d/b/a) the Eastern Shore Art Center) is funded solely through private memberships, donations and grants. The Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and relies on the goodwiill of the community for its continuation. All memberships and contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
Since its inception, the goal of the Eastern Shore Art Center has been community education. The Art Center is free to the public and offers free guided tours through the five galleries. Exhibits change monthly and two Art Center sponsored outdoor festivals bring artists from all over the United States to the Eastern Shore.
Four studios provide various classes and workshops of all mediums for students of all ages. The outreach program serves to bring new learning and communication to children and adults with disabilities and chronic illnesses through the arts.
