This position's main responsibility will be working evening and weekend events. Responsibilities include the set-up and tear-down of tables before, during and after events, assisting outside caterers, cleaning the facility and outside grounds, traveling exhibit installation and de-installation, etc. Hours may vary between 10 and 30 hours per week depending on the seasonal fluctuations of scheduled events and visitor attendance. Part-Time Business Office Assistant

This position will be responsible for assisting with bank reconciliations, employee benefit programs, monthly closing of the books, journal entries, filing, administrative duties and other accounting and human resource functions. Position requires good organizational skills, attention to detail and well-developed office software skills. Fluency in Spanish a plus. Summer Outreach Instructor

Exploration Place is seeking enthusiastic instructors for summer outreach educational programming. Pre-K through Grade 12 outreach sessions are held at local youth organizations such as daycares, schools, churches and various camps. Outreach instructors perform many duties such as presenting programs for a variety of audience sizes, delivering hands on activities, cleaning and much more. Flexible hours range from 20 to 30 hours a week from mid-May to the first week of August. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required. Training will be provided. Demonstrated experience teaching groups of children in a dynamic, fun, engaging, high paced environment is highly preferred. College degree in education or science and fluency in Spanish are a plus. Summer Camp Instructor

Exploration Place is seeking enthusiastic instructors for Out of This World Summer Camps 2013. Camp instructors will engage, educate and entertain campers with science activities while maintaining a healthy, active and safe environment. Camp instructors perform a variety of duties such as lesson planning, shopping, budget management, presenting shows, preventing possible zombie attacks, delivering hands on activities, cleaning and much more. Instructors share their summer with up to 25 campers each week, along with a few super-cool volunteers! Your awesome-ness will be needed for sessions from June 3 - August 9, 2013. Instructors may work from 1 - 9 weeks depending on skill sets and programming schedules. Instructors not working during a session may be called as substitutes. Training will be provided. Education, camp or theater experience, fluency in Spanish and CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
