Vision Statement

ARTISPHERE is an annual signature event for Greenville, SC, showcasing the arts, reflecting the area's international flair, and maximizing existing arts programs by providing a diverse menu of experiences that center around the arts visual and performing and Greenville's multi-cultural offerings to appeal to visitors from throughout the world, as well as citizens throughout the region.

Mission Statement

ARTISPHERE is committed to celebrating the arts and this area's rich international and multi-cultural flair by providing a high-quality event that attracts, entertains, educates, inspires, and enriches a diverse audience and thus brings the community together through the arts.

Artisphere focuses on six major goals it:

  • hosts award-winning visual artists of national and international caliber, showcasing their work at an open-air Artist Row in the West End.
  • showcases the best of Greenville's performing arts groups complimented by top name performers from around the world.
  • showcases local artists and top regional galleries in a Gallery Row at various venues along Main Street.
  • highlights performances of local youth groups and provides creative, educational activities for our children.
  • provides a signature event which increases local tourism and raises the perception of Greenville as a cultural destination.
  • further enhances Greenville's exceptional quality of life by contributing to the area's businesses and by stimulating economic development.

Artisphere also:

  • supports and promotes the arts, thus further enhancing Greenville's art community.
  • creates a signature event for Greenville that showcases the beauty of our city and supports the region's efforts to build tourism and enrich the economic health of the area.
  • delivers a high-quality medium for artists - local, regional, national, and international - to showcase their talents and generate business for them.
  • positions itself as an internationally themed event to unite international companies through a common interest for promoting Greenville, as well as bring together international residents.
  • promotes the resources and programs of collaborative efforts, expanding the audience base for local arts groups.
  • provides a range of ticket prices for arts events, with many outdoor and free events, therefore making the arts accessible to all audiences.
  • offers the opportunity for all of our citizens to come together and enjoy new experiences through a true community festival.
