Barber Beast on the Bay

"Barber Beast on the Bay" is an extreme obstacle course challenge that will take place along Lake Erie at Presque Isle State Park. The total course length will be a grueling 12+ miles, but individuals of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate as there will be turn-around points marking 4, 6, and 8-mile routes.

The obstacle course is being designed by a U.S. Navy SEAL who has some hardcore challenges in store for competitors. So sign up and prepare to scale walls, traverse bodies of mucky water and race through lots and lots of sand!

Cold beer, refreshments and live music await you at the finish line... so run fast!

All proceeds from this event benefit the Barber National Institute, an organization committed to "Making dreams come true" for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Registration discounts are offered to those who want to help raise funds for this worthy cause.

Cost: $100 through June 30, 2013; $125 on July 1, 2013

Registration discounts: $50 discount for participants agreeing to fundraise $300;
