BOB SCHNEIDER BIOGRAPHY
After kicking around for years in various bands and later embarking on a solo career in 1999 under the name Lonelyland, Bob Schneider has become a fixture on the Austin music scene. Born in Michigan and partially raised in Germany, Schneider dropped out of the University of Texas at El Paso to front his first band, the funk and rap outfit Joe Rockhead. The band released three independent albums before disbanding right before they were to sign with a major label. A stint with a jam Phish-like outfit called the Ugly Americans followed; with this band, Schneider experienced some success as the group enjoyed spots opening for the Dave Matthews Band. In 1997, Schneider went on to co-found the Scabs, where he made a further name for himself as a crotch-grabbing frontman.

Going on to combine the traditional singer/songwriter aesthetic with elements of funk, country, rock, and folk, Schneider's musical approach as a solo artist proved to be as eclectic as the diverse musical styles of his former bands. His scruffy good looks and strong, husky voice attracted enough attention, but it was Schneider's music - redolent of '70s icons from Neil Young to Paul Simon, with a slightly more modern sensibility reminiscent of Beck and edgy lyrics about alienation, drug addiction, and lost romance -- that maintained his high profile around Austin. He began courting a national fan base with Lonelyland, his major-label debut with Universal Records, and though he later moved on to Vanguard Records, Schneider has continued releasing new music as a solo act ever since Lonelyland launched in 2000.
GABRIEL KELLEY BIOGRAPHY
The Georgia-born singer/songwriter Gabriel Kelley got his start playing for food and gas money as he drove through the southern U.S., pursuing the widely held but nearly unattainable dream of earning a career in music. After spending two years on the road, Kelley was invited to write music for a publishing company in Nashville, a job he hesitatingly accepted and soon discarded so that he could do more traveling and writing. In mid-2012, Kelley finally got the opportunity to release his debut album It Don't Come Easy, a 10-track EP that served as Kelley's official introduction to the recording world.
