Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode, one of modern music's most influential groups much-loved by Southern California fans, has added a third STAPLES Center concert to their Delta Machine World Tour. The band will now perform on October 2nd in addition to their previously announced September 28th and 29th shows.
Tickets for the just-added October 2nd show will go on sale Saturday, April 27th at 10 AM. They will be available online at www.AXS.com and www.ticketmaster.com and by phone at 888.929.7849.
Depeche Mode released their new album, Delta Machine (Columbia Records), last month, scoring a #6 debut on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart, their seventh Top Ten effort. It also bowed at #2 on the U.K. album chart and at #1 in Germany. Delta Machine has earned critical praise, with Entertainment Weekly calling it, "the strongest album the group has put out this century, brushing up against the locked-in grooves of the group's late-80's crest," and Rolling Stone saying, "Delta celebrates brooding faith and slippery solace without scrimping on Depeche's trademark blackstrobe punishment." Recorded over the last year in Santa Barbara, California and New York City, Delta Machine features production by Ben Hillier and mixing by longtime collaborator Flood.
In the run-up to Delta Machine's release, the band made a rare U.S. television appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" as well as a "Live On Letterman" multi-song set webcast on CBS.com and VEVO. VEVO, the world's leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, is an official media partner of The Delta Machine Tour in North America. The group also made headlines with an intimate club performance at SXSW.
Prior to coming to North America, Depeche Mode will begin their European stadium tour in Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park on May 7th. They will perform 37 shows in 25 European countries, featuring appearances at Milan's famed San Siro Stadium, the Stade De France in Paris, and Moscow's Locomotive Stadium before wrapping up the European leg of their tour in Minsk, Belarus on July 29.
As pioneers of the post-punk era and the most popular electronic band of all-time, Depeche Mode continue to draw legions of loyal fans to arenas and stadiums around the world to experience their once-in-a-lifetime performances. Formed in 1981, Depeche Mode - Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy 'Fletch' Fletcher - continue to win critical and commercial acclaim around the world both in the studio and on the road.
