Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase

With the Gaslamp Quarter's vibrant history and its connection with historic Highway 80, it is fitting that the Gaslamp Quarter Association will celebrate new and vintage high-performance vehicles at the 5th Annual Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase. An extravagant display of horsepower and ingenuity will halt traffic in the Gaslamp Quarter on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Car enthusiasts from all over San Diego County will flock to the historic Gaslamp Quarter to take over Fifth Avenue from E Street to L Street from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This timeless event is free and open to the public and will showcase high-performance automobiles and motorcycles ranging from the traditional classics to lavish luxury modern vehicles. This is a car show unlike any other; surrounded by the district's distinctive Victorian architecture, while featuring the most cutting-edge displays in the automotive industry. As you make your way down Fifth Avenue, you'll gaze upon a decadent variety of Italian exotics such as Ferrari and Maserati, as well as the American icons, including the Thunderbird and Corvette.
The Gaslamp Quarter is going big this year, extending the show from E Street all the way to the historic Gaslamp Quarter Archway, beckoning you to stroll the streets of Downtown San Diego to view this diverse collection of automobiles and motorcycles, ranging from Italian and European exotics to American legends, import tuners to offroad racers. More than simply modes of transportation, automobiles and motorcycles have their own culture and lifestyle. Join us in celebrating these amazing works of automotive art.
The grand finale for the Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase will feature the presentation of the highly anticipated "People's Choice Award;" the prestigious award is voted upon directly by car show participants and the public alike, honoring the favorite car in the show. Not to be missed, immediately following the presentation of awards will be a spectacular rev-up-and-roarin'-rollout of all car show participants as they depart the Gaslamp Quarter at the close of the Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase.
