First Fridays

First Fridays are celebrated on the first Friday of each month May through October. Many of the businesses downtown continue with First Friday November through April as well, though there are no outdoor activities on the Square

The Heritage Centre Association organizes this event for the first Friday of each month May through October.

Activities include entertainment for the whole family, featuring live music, balloon sculpting, Moon Bounce, and a petting zoo. Be sure to come downtown for dinner at one of our local restaurants or purchase food and beverages from local vendors.

The Cruise-In will be located on the public square with other activities throughout the downtown area.

This is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to come downtown Mount Vernon, shop late into the evening with stores and galleries open until at least 9 p.m., a band performing on the Square, more entertainment on the FirstMerit portico on South Main, kids' activities, food vendors, and much more.

First Friday events are planned and organized by the HCA Promotions Committee along with volunteer support.
