Through CCM's involvement initiatives, the musicians themselves are reminded of music's capacity to bring joy to people's lives and the power to positively impact the listeners' quality of life. This commitment to service, coupled with dedication to the highest performance standards, is what distinguishes CCM as an organization that serves all Chicagoans.
Free Monthly First Monday Series at The Chicago Cultural Center
These free concerts with commentary attract a diverse audience of senior citizens, students, downtown office workers and residents, and tourists to hear the CCM artists perform and talk about music from the point of view of the composer, performer and listener, first-hand and up-close. Since January 1998, the series has been broadcast live on WFMT 98.7-FM and nationwide on its cable network
The First Monday series takes place year-round on the first Monday of the month
