Fourth Annual Texas Yoga Conference

Now in its fourth year, The Texas Yoga Conference (TYC) brings some of the best yoga teachers and motivational speakers to Houston, offering a city retreat full of presentations, yoga classes for all levels, lectures and fun music concerts during three complete days in Houston. In 2013 the George R Brown event's theme is friendship. A Texas Yoga Association sponsored kick off Ho-downward Dog class following with a 2-Steppin' Shindig is Feb 28th at Embassy Suites in the Ballroom (2nd floor) on Dallas Street. The event begins with yoga teachers representing the Breakfast Yoga Club and a Dharma Talk with Ricky Tran from 6-7:30pm before everything live Texas music and dancing from 8-9:30pm. Bring your boots and tight jeans. Cowboys and hats encouraged!

The three-day agenda features prestigious presenters as well as practical sessions and interesting workshops. The list of presenters includes Dearbla Kelly, Lissa Coffey, Hemalayaa Behl; Leslie Kaminoff, Nicolai Bachman, Sean Johnson & the Wild Lotus Band, Nancy Sheridan, Robert Boustany, Ann Hyde, Catherine Allen, Eric Shaw, Yogafit's Beth Shaw, Renu Namjoshi, Stephanie Shorter, Patrick Price, Gioconda, Dana Flynn, Les Leventhal, John Salisbury, Sarah Luna, David Newman, New York's Raghunath - former punk rock band leader turned coolest yogi; and more of our amazing Texas locals from all over the state plus many more amazing presenters from across the USA.

Houston - A Yoga Conference for Beginners and Well-Seasoned Practitioners! TYC has something for EVERYBODY!

In addition to the workshops, music and practical sessions, there will be exhibitors of healthy foods, natural products and unique sportswear from designers I Love Yoga, Autumn Tenyl, Victoria Keen and Luke's Locker. The event will be preceded by a 25-hour Yoga Anatomy Intensive by Leslie Kaminoff at Spring Street Studios from February 26-28. A music concerts through out the weekend by David Berkeley, Action Required Now (our 2013 charity of choice), David Newman, The Sound and the Meaning, Josh Fletcher, Austin's Joel Laviolette & the Rattlesnake Marimba, Willy Collins Band and The Bhakti House Band. Prices for the concerts are really affordable, starting at only $10.00.
