Gastronomie FranÇAise a Gainesville
Our program would not have been completed without the gastronomic meal of the French that is a customary social practice for celebrating important moments in the lives of individuals and groups. Therefore midway through our program, after learning about the French gastronomy, let's gather at the French restaurant "La Cuisine " to enjoy a wonderful menu. The thread of our event navigates from the French agriculture to the cooking of the French food to culminate with a wonderful degustation of appetizers, breads, wines and cheeses for 10 days. Furthermore, the aim of our program is to be fun, educative, and open to the public.
To accomplish this goal, we set up:
Lectures that will cover the agricultural and food marketing system of France as well as the Appellation d'Origine Controlee (AOC) system, Label Rouge, Certification de Conformite, and Agriculture Biologique (AB)
