Get Green Fest 2013

Get Green began in 1999 as an hour-long river greening party. Today, it's the only family-friendly St. Patrick's Day festival in the area and is hosted by the Fort Wayne Professional Firefighters. Proceeds from the event benefit local organizations, charities and scholarship funds.

Enjoy a day of fun with family, friends and the Fort Wayne Professional Firefighters! In its 11th year, the festival continues to grow and entertain thousands of community members. With proceeds benefiting local scholarships and charities, and loads o' fun for all ages - it's a great way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day every year.

Fire Police City County FCU 5-Kilt Run/Walk

9:30 a.m. Calhoun Street Cul-De-Sac

Put on your kilts and walk or run through the streets of downtown! (Kilts are optional.) This all ages 5K race starts and ends at the Calhoun Street cul-de-sac. Last year, nearly 1,000 people participated

10:30 - 11:45 a.m.

Hoosier Lottery Parade and River Greening Join the walking parade to the annual river greening! Start at the Calhoun Street cul-de-sac and end at the old Wells Street Bridge. Watch as our own Fort Wayne Firefighters transform the St. Mary's River with eco-friendly dye.

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Stout Barbell Strongman Competition Grab a drink and watch as the strongest men and women in the area compete in this exciting event. Teams push, pull and lift objects like water-filled kegs, tractor tires and kettle balls.

10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Mad Anthony Brewing Company Music, Food and Fun At the Wells Street Corridor, you'll find the main tent area - including great Irish food and of course, green beer. People of all ages will enjoy meeting Lucky The Leprechaun, getting their faces painted, competing in a Lucky Charms Eating Contest and listening to local bands. Don't miss the Kids' Fun Zone and Gold Coin Drop for the youngsters!

6:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.

Live Music, Food and Fun (18 and older) Keep the party going with live bands on the "Hoosier Lottery Imagine That" stage and cold drinks at the main tent area.
