Going Green Festival





How much water would a washer wash if a washer would wash less? Challenge your skills at spotting energy foes, conduct water quality experiments, plant your own garbage garden and create masterpieces of recycled art all while saving green to be green! Enjoy activities and games such as Recycle Art, Gallon Game, Garbage Garden and Spinwheel Trivia. Meet members of environmental awareness organizations and businesses from around the state who will be available to show you the latest, greatest and simplest ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
RecycleForce

The Indiana State Museum is proud to welcome RecycleForce to the Going Green Festival. Individuals who bring recyclable items to the event, especially electronic waste, will receive $2 off general museum admission up to four people in a group. The recycling discount is only available on Saturday , March 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Climate Reality and You

Join Jim Poyser, certified trainer of the Climate Reality Project, as he presents connections between carbon emissions, greenhouse gases and extreme weather events, such as the recent Superstorm Sandy and the great drought of 2012. Guests will come away with suggestions for action and behavioral change.
