I Hate Hamlet at Warehouse Theatre
Yakima's only non-profit community theatre, WTC has a reputation for professional-quality musicals, comedies and dramatic performances. Many WTC members have studied theatre on a university level and have professional experience as well, which has raised the bar when it comes to acting, sets, costumes, lights and sound.
Located at 5000 West Lincoln at Gilbert Park, the theatre building was originally a fruit warehouse owned by the Gilbert family. In the early fifties, Elon Gilbert decided to take out the orchards and sub-divide the property for homes. It was then that he offered his warehouse to Yakima arts organizations, resulting in the creation of the Warehouse Theatre in the building. Today Yakima Allied Arts owns the building that houses the WTC Theatre.
We hope you will come and experience a play or musical at WTC. Traditionally we offer a season of five shows, that usually include a sampling of Broadway musicals, comedies and dramas.7:30pm - A hysterical comedy that revolves around a young TV actor, reluctant to play this classic role and the ghost of the Shakespearean actor, John Barrymore. Their meeting sparks all manners of chaos, seances, and a dual. For an evening of fun, don't miss this laugh-out-loud comedy at the Warehouse Theatre
