Johnston's Army Adventure Camp is designed for Boy Scouts age 11 and up and offers an authentic and unique hands-on adventure! Scouts travel back in time to 1858 ? 1861 and enter the world of a soldier with Johnston's Army at Camp Floyd in the Utah Territory. New recruits are processed, mustered into the army and issued uniforms. As a new enlisted private, scouts will shoulder their musket, and march off to a new adventure!

Camp Floyd State Park and Stagecoach Inn Museum is Utah's link with the Civil War. The quiet streets of Fairfield hold the secrets of 3,500 troops, nearly one-third of the entire U.S. Army at that time, which were brought to Camp Floyd to suppress the rumored rebellion in Utah. With no rebellion taking place, the troops were recalled in 1861 with the outbreak of the Civil War. The historic Fairfield District Schoolhouse is available for school groups to enjoy an authentic one-room schoolhouse experience. Other groups may rent the historic building for meetings and other gatherings. Fairfield School was constructed in 1898 with federal funds received when Utah became a state in 1896.
