Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Kitty City in the Prescott Petco will be celebrating its second anniversary with reduced adoption fees for cats and kittens, February 9th thru the 17th. In addition to special adoption fees, United Animal Friends (UAF) has scheduled Bake Sales to be held from 11a.m. to 2p.m., Saturday and Sunday, February 9 and 10 and February 16 and 17. Some of the items sold will be baked and donated by members of Bradshaw Mountain High School Student Council. A non-profit animal rescue group since 2003, United Animal Friends continues to grow in size, strength and support. United Animal Friends still embraces its core, founding principles of rescue, volunteerism and compassion

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US AND OUR HISTORY

United Animal Friends (UAF) was founded in 2003 by a group of avid animal lovers.

We are working to increase Spay, Neuter and Foster, Adopt Programs until all dogs and cats born in Yavapai County Arizona have a loving home waiting for them.

  • We are a volunteer organiztion.
  • We are a non-profit entity.
  • In our first five years we re-homed 3006 animals and altered 4708.
  • There are numerous programs under UAF's wings.

PROGRAMS

  • Low Cost Spay / Neuter
  • The UAF Hotline provides low cost Spay/Neuter Certificates to folks who cannot afford the cost of altering their Companion Animals.
  • Trap/Neuter / Release Program (TNR)
  • UAF has the only TNR program in the area. We work to control the population of over 3000 feral, or unsocialized, cats residing in Yavapai County. When possible UAF's wonderful Volunteers socialize young kittens who are then adopted out.
  • Foster / Adopt Field Services (FAFS)
  • UAF takes dogs and cats from Prescott and Chino Valley Animal Control and elsewhere. FAFS puts them into Foster Homes and has them altered. FAFS works with any behavioral and/or medical concerns so that the animal can be provided a second chance in a loving home.

UAF is also committed to "Private Party Rescue" and we assist private parties in locating new homes for their Companion Animals. If people have Companion Animals whom they will not or cannot keep, UAF sponsors them on our web site as "Courtesy Listings", so that they too can be promoted for Adoption.

Financial Support

When there is a true need and funds allow, UAF helps those who can not afford veterinary care. We work with some local veterinarians who contact us when a low-income family is in need of financial support for spay/neuter or medical emergencies.
