All proceeds from the OSI~Miron April Fools' 5k will go to Appleton North, Appleton East & Appleton West high schools' athletic programs.
Course
Our competitive and recreational 5k will start at OSI and finish at Players Choice. This 3.1 mile course is perfect for all ages. Flat and fast.
Families
Strollers and wagons are welcome. However, for the safety of all participants, we encourage you to start at the rear of the starting area.
Packet Pick-up
Packet Pick-up: Wednesday, April 3rd @ the Appleton Fleet Feet location 3-7 p.m. Thursday, April 4th from 3-6 p.m. at Orthopedic & Sports Institute (OSI) Race day packet pick-up: Friday, April 5th from 4-5:15 p.m. at OSI.
Race Day Agenda
Race day packet pick-up and registration at OSI (4-5:15 p.m.) Race Start (6:00 p.m.) Immediately following the completion of the Race at Players Choice: race awards, hat competition, vendors, and family fun activities. Post race party (8:00 p.m. - Midnight) sponsored by Stoneyard Bar & Grill (please see below for details).
Entries
All entrants will receive an OSI reusable bag along with some goodies and a long sleeved, dri-wick Brooks race shirt ($28 retail) Entries received after March 20th are not guaranteed a T-shirt.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the overall male and female participants. Awards will also be presented to the top three male / female of each age group. Age groups are: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc. Award ceremony will take place at Players Choice following the completion of the race.
It's All About the Hats!
Overall most attention-getting hat winner earns a $250 Scheels gift card. The hat MUST be worn during the entire race. Voting will take place after the completion of the 5k when race awards are finished.

Fleet Feet Sports Fox Valley Training Program

Post Race Party Sponsored by Stoneyard Bar & Grill
Entertainment by award-winning local band Half Empty from 8:00 pm - Midnight inside Stoneyard Bar & Grill (right across from Players Choice, where the race finishes). Must be 21 years of age or older, have I.D. with and if you wear your volunteer shirt or race bib you will get in for free, $5 cover charge for all others.
Lamers Shuttle Service
Lamers will be providing shuttle services between OSI (start line) and Players Choice (finish line). Participants are encouraged to park at Players Choice and be shuttled to OSI to help with parking. Before race shuttles will start at PLayers Choice and do drop offs at OSI starting at 5:00 and go up until 5:45pm. Shuttling will resume at 7:00pm at Players Choice and go until 9:00pm.
