Museum Open during school vacation week!

The Railroad Museum will be open each day during school vacation, offering Train Rides on the hour from 10:00 to 3:00. Storytime on Wednesday the 20th at 10:30.The museum is closed much of the Winter, but we will be open during Maine's School Vacation Week in February! Join us for a Winter train ride along scenic Casco Bay and activities inside the museum. We will be open from February 16-24, 2013, with train rides on the hour from 10am to 3pm. We hope to see you then!

We are pleased to be able to once again participate in the annual Portland History Docents Program! The 13-week program aims to recruit volunteers for area museums and historical attractions. Advanced reservations are required and the program begins February 7th! Don't miss out on this wonderful historical learning opportunity! For more information on how to participate in the program click here: Portland History Docent Program The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Company & Museum is dedicated to the preservation of Maine's two-foot gauge railways for the education and enjoyment of the public. The museum is open daily from May 1st - October 31st, and seasonally for special events.
