Regional Art Exhibition

Artists residing within 150 miles of Binghamton, New York are invited to enter works, which have been completed in the last 5 years and have not previously been exhibited at Roberson. Works in all media may be entered, excluding video. Works may not exceed 96 inches in any dimension or weigh more than 150 lbs.

ENTRY INFORMATION & FEE:
The Juror will select the works to be included in the exhibition from WINDOWS CDS of 300 dpi jpeg images (strongly preferred) or 35 mm slides. All entries must be received by Saturday, April 8, 2013. A non-refundable entry fee of $40 for up to two works must be enclosed. Please make checks payable to Roberson Museum and Science Center, and include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of slides or disks.

Up to two images showing different views of each work may be submitted, but at least one image should represent the entire work. If images and actual piece do not match, the piece can be rejected. Slides must not be mounted in glass or thicker than standard cardboard mounts. The artist's name, title of work, medium, and dimensions of the work must be written on the slide mount. Please indicate the top.

Applications should be sent to Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street, Binghamton, NY 13905. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be mailed to each entrant upon completion of judging.

JUROR:
John Brunelli is the Director of Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts in Binghamton, NY where he represents emerging, mid-career, and established regional, national and international artists specializing in contemporary realism, photorealism and well-disciplined abstract works in painting, sculpture, assemblage, drawing, original prints, works on paper and alternative-process photography. Quality is central to the gallery's program.
John has also taught extensively throughout the region, both privately and as an Adjunct Instructor at Broome Community College in Drawing and Exhibition Planning.
Previously, John lived in New York City and worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. During this time, he studied at a private atelier, Studio 126, under mentor Brandon Soloff learning anatomy and classical approaches to drawing and painting the figure.
John received his B.F.A. in a dual-major program at Binghamton University with a degree in Fine Arts and Art History. His focus was in Printmaking (Etching and Lithography), Drawing and Contemporary Art since 1960.
As an artist and photographer, his work has taken him to places such as Vietnam, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.
