Pensacola Little Theatre's mission is to entertain and educate Northwest Florida's residents and visitors by offering a complete theatrical experience. Through volunteer opportunities, outreach programs, classes and performances, PLT is committed to inspire and challenge artists and audiences with diverse and stimulating programs of the highest standard of excellence.

Pensacola Little Theatre (PLT) is a non-profit community organization providing theatrical experiences that entertain, enrich, and educate adults and children who live in or visit Northwest Florida. In our beautiful facility, the Pensacola Cultural Center, you will find musicals, comedies, dramas, and children's shows; adult and youth classes in acting and other theatre skills; a variety of volunteer opportunities; exciting fundraisers; and a family atmosphere that brings out the best in everyone who walks through our doors.

PLT is committed to providing quality presentations and participatory opportunities for community artists utilizing traditional, innovative, and collaborative programming. PLT presents plays and musicals, outreach programs, performances and classes for youth, and special theatrical events. PLT seeks to provide a forum for the development of new works and partners with local schools to nurture the artistic spirit of our children. Pensacola Little Theatre's ultimate mission is to use the theatrical experience to enhance the cultural agenda of our community and to develop future generations of performers and patrons of the arts.

Our vision is to celebrate the importance of the arts in our community by providing opportunities for people to use their talents in presenting theatrical productions in a state-of-the-art facility steeped in historic tradition. We believe that experiencing art in all its dimensions is vital to the fulfillment of civic and community life. As a volunteer-driven, community organization, Pensacola Little Theatre seeks to engage participants in the creative process. Participants engage as artists, using their imaginations and talents to explore universal themes and relevant issues. Participants engage as patrons, utilizing audience discussion programs as entryways into the artistic process. Participants engage as students and teachers, joining classes and production groups to develop artistic skills. We strive to draw many community members into the creative process to move them to change their lives, and possibly the world, in the process of making ART.

PLT has long been the area's leader in quality community theatre. Volunteers from all walks of life have banded together across generations to bring Pensacola the very best PLT has to offer. Theatre cannot die because it has the ageless appeal of magic. The stage is a magic mirror in which life is reflected in a manner closer to our heart's desire than reality.
