Toddler Tuesday at the Hilliard provides an environment on the second floor of the museum for young children to play with our collection of toys, puzzles and educational games. Story time is between 10 and 11:00 a.m. Museum volunteers share a selection from our children's book collection.
It is also a gentle, spontaneous environment for some social interaction for the children and a nice place for caregivers to meet and share.
Toddler Tuesday introduces children and caregivers to a lovely museum, to art, to play, to the spoken and read word (often neglected in our media concentrated world) and most of all, to a gentle respite on a Tuesday morning.
