Violin and piano recital
UVM Violin and Composition Professor Emeritus Thomas L. Read is joined by his successor, composer/pianist David Feurzeig, to perform a dazzling array of violin and piano music from the 18th century to the present. Mozart's scintillating Sonata in B-flat, K. 454, is sandwiched by two meditative works by the visionary Estonian minimalist composer Arvo Pärt, Fratres and Spiegel im Spiegel. The concert concludes with the rollicking and transcendental Sonata No. 2 by the American modernist pioneer Charles Ives.
